Würth Industrie Service celebrates its 25th anniversary

12th January 2024 | Würth Industrie Service is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The company’s anniversary marks a significant milestone in the history of the company, which was founded on 13th January 1999 as an independent subsidiary of the Würth Group with just 80 employees on an abandoned 120-hectare barracks in Bad Mergentheim - now known as the Würth Industrial Park. The C-Parts expert has grown continuously over the years and now employs around 1,800 people in Germany and around 6,600 in over 40 countries worldwide.

Würth Industrie Service commissions new high-bay warehouse

01th August 2024 | Now the extended logistics centre of Würth Industrie Service has been put into operation as planned. With building dimensions at record level rarely seen in this overall complexity, this project marks a significant milestone in the 25-year company history of the C-Parts expert.

17th July 2024 | As the leading international maritime trade fair, the SMM will bring together important industry leaders from all the sectors of the value chain from 3rd to 6th September 2024 and will set new standards in the fields of artificial intelligence and green shipping. 12th July 2024 |How about a mobile vending machine that provides the required materials directly at the workplace? How about a robot that takes the vending machine wherever it is needed? The two partners Würth Industrie Service and W. Gessmann GmbH, a supplier of robotics and system solutions, are conducting a feasibility study to show how this can be achieved in the future.

03th July 2024 | On the occasion of the anniversary of “25 years as an industry partner”, Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. 13th June 2024 | Distinguished experts from industry, trade, science, and consulting showed how to successfully navigate times of continuous change and increasing challenges at the seventh Expert Forum C-Parts management. 15th May 2024 | Over 2,000 modules on 4,860 square metres with an output of over 1,000 kWp. The new photovoltaic system from Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co KG at the company headquarters in Bad Mergentheim stands out with these numbers. With impressive dimensions at record level, the system is one of the largest photovoltaic façade systems in the D-A-CH region. The photovoltaic giant has been recently operational and is making a decisive contribution to sustainable energy supply at the company location.

Storage and retrieval machines successfully brought in

20th October 2023 | 46 metres long, weighing 22,5 tonnes, manoeuvred 100 metres over the roofs: A true work requiring precision, weighing several tons on the heights of Drillberg. The excavations for building a new automated high-bay warehouse with additional 59,000 storage spaces covering more than 4,000 square metres started as early as July 2022. Now, the first storage and retrieval machines were brought in to take over the automated storage and retrieval of pallets in the warehouse.

Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023

19th September 2023 | More than 500 participants, 21 countries, 10 disciplines: The 6th Invictus Games held from 9th to 16th September 2023 in Düsseldorf, and thus for the first time in Germany, were a tremendous success. The focus here is on offering social recognition to wounded, injured and ill soldiers as well as on their recovery and rehabilitation. The audience of around 140,000 emphasised the importance of action for the integration in the entire society. Würth Industrie Service was also present on site as a sponsor of the international sports festival.

KG, which is specialised in fastening technology and is accredited for more than 50 test methods conforming to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and which serves as an official and independent testing station for ensuring maximum product and process quality. In the area covering 800 sq. m., the highly qualified employees use the state-of-the-art testing devices to ensure seamless quality management. With the new testing options including a torsion test bench, scanning electron microscope and adhesive testing technology, the laboratory experts have their sights firmly set on customer requirements.
