Respiratory protection. With Certainty.
As an employer, you are required to provide respiratory protection when there is the possibility that employees can get exposed to harmful gases, vapours, mists or dusts. These hazards can affect the health of the employee. Even with low exposures, serious harmful consequences can develop over time for the employees. That is precisely why the industry puts great value on reliable respiratory protection - as it can be indispensable for many jobs.

Fine dust masks, dust masks etc.: particle-filtering masks from the expert
Note: Particle filters may only be used against particulate pollutants, but never against gases! If gases and particles occur simultaneously, combination filters should be used.
Gas filter masks
Gas filters are used either in half masks or in full-face masks. These filters are only for use against gases and vapours, but never against particles!
Half masks
Half masks are often used in chemical and lacquer processing companies, disposal and refurbishment companies, woodworking and processing companies as well as floor levellers, plastics processing companies, motor vehicle and other workshops (each with the appropriate filters).
Full-face masks
Used in all areas of industry, the energy industry, waste management and the craft sector. Wherever vapours, solvents and gases occur and effective respiratory protection and face protection are needed.
Filter type | Use | Colour code |
---|---|---|
A | For gases and fumes of organic compounds, boiling point > 65° C | Brown |
AX | Against low-boiling organic compounds, boiling point ≤ 65 ° C | Brown |
B | Against inorganic gases and fumes | Grey |
E | Against sulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride and other acid gases | Yellow |
K | Against ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives | Green |
HG | Against mercury fumes | Red |
P | Against particles | White |
Always observe the service life of the respirators!
The duration of use of respiratory filters depends on the concentration of contaminants and the type of activity that is performed. In the case of heavy physical exertion, the air volume throughput is greater and thus a faster consumption is to be expected. The end of the service life of gas filters can be recognised by the presence of smell or taste of the respective substances. Since one has to rely on this perception, standard filter devices must not be used against gases that are odourless or tasteless (for example, carbon monoxide). If the respiratory resistance increases greatly when using particle filters, the filter material is saturated and a new filter should be used. Particulate-filtering half masks against radioactive substances or airborne biological agents are for single use.
Supply concepts for occupational safety products
Just as important as the selection of suitable protective equipment is the availability of the items. Together with you, we develop the best possible logistics solution for the supply of occupational safety products according to your individual needs
- centrally in the material warehouse
- centrally at a defined location in production
- decentralised in every area of production with the required articles (e.g. directly in the welding shop or in pre-assembly, etc.)
